Mankind cannot survive without electricity. The use of electricity is in every aspect of one's life - be it small appliances to entertainment to health services to education. The application of electricity is categorised into some voltage levels, eg, low / medium / high and extra high voltage. Depending upon the load to be catered, the voltage level is decided so that voltage drop and power loss in the circuits are optimum. Electrical infrastructure of an area is divided into Generation, Transmission and Distribution level voltages for better administrative control, maintenance and tariff.
Satcon, being in the field of electrical infrastructure design for last 20 years, has grown expertise to deliver Electrical consultancy services in the areas of Generation, Transmission and Distribution level voltages in India and many other countries.
The electrical infrastructure at the Generation level is confined to the Generator, Generator circuit breaker, LA & PT cubicle, Neutral grounding transformer (NGT), generator bus duct, Generator Transformer, Unit Transformer, Unit aux. switchboard, Station aux. switchboard, Station aux. transformer etc.
The Transmission level voltage mainly consists of Transmission substations upto 765kV, step down power transformers, circuit breakers, isolators, CT, PT, LA, Control and Relay panels, AC / DC aux. systems, SCADA and Fiber optic communication systems.
The Distribution system infrastructure starts from 33kV and comprises of all voltage levels below 33kV. It mainly consists of Primary substations, overhead lines - 33kV and 11kV, Pole mounted substations and LV distribution upto the residential and commercial building loads.
